Sadie joined the Farmer’s Market in Horncastle in April of last year. It is held every fourth Saturday in the month. Come and visit her stand, situated on the triangle outside of Perkins, she will be bringing with her an array of scrumptious award winning produce.

Hirst's Heritage Hand Raised Pork Pie is made by Sadie the old fashioned way, hand raised on a "dolly". They are a very traditional farmhouse style pie, with the meat perfectly seasoned by Russell. Sadie glazes the pie with local free range egg to give a wonderful biscuity finish to the pastry. They are baked and jellied ready for you to enjoy. Like the Pork and Red Onion Marmalade Pies it is advisable to order these either from the shop or the market as the sell out very quickly indeed.
Hirst's Hand Raised Pork and Red Onion Marmalade Pie. Sadie makes these with the same delicious hot water pastry as the Traditional Pork Pie, but the meat has a kick of black pepper and onion. Sadie makes her home made Red Onion Marmalade and this is added in a couple of layers with the meat, this all bakes together making a really flavoursome pie. These have gathered quite a following and it is advisable to order them in advance to ensure you get one!
One of the speciality dishes that is most associated with the county. The chine is stuffed, prepared and baked by Russell using a 1930's Wrawby WI recipe, the recipe is likely to be much older than its appearance in the book. Chine is tradionally served with vinegar and graces many tables for Harvest Festivals.
Made daily by Russell using a Victorian Recipe, which was handed down to him. All of the meat is prepared using best quality pork and contains no additives, artificial preservatives or colours. Quite often you can come into the shop and find Russell making his sausages on the machine that looks a bit like a rocket!

Passionate about preserving and living in one of the best growing areas in the country, Saints & Sinners produce a range of over 150 different genuinely homemade preserves. All of their goods are made in their home kitchen using traditional methods, in batches of 9 or10 jars ensuring freshness is the key. They work closely withWoodlands Organic Farm in Kirton thus reducing their wastage and they also work with Fenberry Fruit in Bicker to provide the more unusual fruit and vegetables they use. These products are delicious and local. The horseradish mustard goes particularly well with our Pork Pie and Sausage Rolls. Their Traditional Plumbread is based on a recipe used by Myra Pocklington in the early 1930's to feed the farm workers on the family farm. Covered in home churned butter, she would take it out to the farm hands in the fields at break time.
Their Plumbread is just fantastic with butter, toasted, with cheese or even in a bread and butter pudding. All their Plumbread is so moist that it can also be sliced and eaten without any spread.
