Dear Customers,

It is with enormous sadness that Sadie and I have made the very difficult decision to close our business down with immediate effect for medical reasons.

Sadie and I want to thank all of you for your kind messages of support through this difficult period, it has been very humbling and much appreciated.

We have had fifteen very happy years here and many of you have become friends, it has been an absolute pleasure serving you and the community. (I shall miss the banter, but I bet you won’t miss my jokes)!

Thank you for all of your loyal support, custom, friendship and for being a big part of our lives for fifteen years.

We will miss you!

God bless, Russell and Sadie xx

Dear Customers

Please be assured that despite the closure of our shop, I will be continuing with my public speaking engagements and all bookings will be honoured. I am taking new bookings for historical cookery workshops, food history talks and demonstrations.

I offer a range of different food history presentations and work regularly with Heritage Lincolnshire. If you would like to register your interest in future historical cookery workshops please visit www.heritagelincolnshire.org

If you wish to contact me, please do so by emailing me sadiehirst@btinternet.com and you can follow me on Twitter Sadie Hirst@sadiemhirst or Sadie Hirst on Instagram.

Recipes from my monthly food column in The Lincolnshire Echo, Target, Retford Times, Wolds Scene and Lincs Scene will be uploaded on to the recipe section of this website regularly. Please feel free to use these recipes for your personal use and I would love to hear if you enjoyed making and baking them. If you wish to use any of these recipes for anything other than personal use, please contact me first to seek my permission.

I am getting booked up to the end of 2020 for my food history presentations, so it is advisable to give me as much notice as possible for the date you require to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for visiting this website, keeping checking for forthcoming events.

Best wishes, Sadie
